EU Audit Issue At Dublin Airport Rectified

June 14, 2012

The one outstanding issue raised by a recent EU security audit at Dublin Airport has now been fully resolved.

The adjustments to resolve the issue were put in place jointly by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport and the Dublin Airport Authority well within the two-month timeframe that had originally been deemed necessary to rectify the matter. The restrictions, which had no impact on passengers at Dublin Airport, have now been lifted.

The issue in question was a technical one and did not relate to the screening of passengers or their luggage at Dublin Airport.
