DAA Launches Language Scheme

August 26, 2013

Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) today launches the first language scheme for the company which will see it provide an improved level of information and services in Irish for both customers and staff.

The Scheme, which is effective for a three-year period, was prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Official Languages Act 2003 and offers additional services to those already required under the Act.

These improved services include the provision of relevant information in Irish on our websites in addition to the issuing of press releases bilingually where appropriate.

DAA will also look to promote the Irish language internally through a number of measures including the introduction of an Irish language training course for staff to facilitate greater interaction with our customers through the medium of Irish.

The full DAA Language Scheme in English can be viewed here.

Scéim Teanga á Lainseáil ag ÚABÁC

Tá an chéad scéim teanga á lainseáil ag Údarás Aerfort Bhaile Átha Cliath don chuideachta inniu ina soláthrófar leibhéal feabhsaithe faisnéise agus seirbhísí i nGaeilge do chustaiméirí agus don fhoireann araon.

Ullmhaíodh an Scéim, a bheidh i bhfeidhm ar feadh tréimhse trí bliana, de réir fhorálacha Acht na dTeangacha Oifigiúla 2003 agus tairgtear seirbhísí inti sa bhreis ar na seirbhísí a cheanglaítear faoin Acht cheana.

Áirítear ar na seirbhísí feabhsaithe sin faisnéis ábhartha a sholáthar i nGaeilge ar ár láithreáin Ghréasáin mar aon le preaseisiúintí a eisiúint i nGaeilge agus i mBéarla de réir mar is cuí.

Féachfaidh ÚABÁC leis an nGaeilge a chur chun cinn ar bhonn inmheánach trí roinnt beart lena n-áirítear cúrsa oiliúna sa Ghaeilge a chur ar fáil don fhoireann chun idirghníomhaíocht fheabhsaithe lenár gcustaiméirí trí mheán na Gaeilge a éascú.

An Scéim Teanga ÚABÁC i nGaeilge le léamh anseo.
