DAA Welcomes High Court Decision Concerning T2
The DAA welcomes this morning’s decision by the High Court as a very positive development for all Dublin Airport’s customers and stakeholders.
The Court’s decision to bind Ryanair to its agreement of 2005, not to oppose the further development of Dublin Airport, removes the threat of any further unnecessary delay or obstruction to the delivery of the Airport’s new passenger terminal, T2.
Construction of the new terminal and ancillary services including a major new boarding gate facility, new support infrastructure and services, commenced last October. The new terminal will open for passenger traffic in April 2010.
T2, a 75,000sq m building with a passenger capacity of 15m per annum, will cost €395m. The overall cost of the terminal, the new boarding gate facility and support infrastructure, is €610m.
