Dublin Airport offers a wide and diverse range of services to both our Airline partners, Ground Handling agents and additional internal and external service areas, operating in a busy Airport environment the Airport Cleaning Team Members are essential in delivering a world class passenger experience for our customers.  

 

The primary focus of the Airport Cleaning Team Member will be to ensure the quality of cleaning and sanitisation of all passenger facilities across the full airport journey in a highly visible manner.

 

Successful candidates will report directly to the Service Delivery Team Leaders. Team members will embrace the role, becoming the ‘face of Dublin Airport’ to convey a professional, helpful, friendly attitude and service to all Dublin Airport users.

 

Team members will rotate between duties on a roster basis and will operate cross-terminal and campus wide. Tasks are allocated based on demand, and team members will be required to be agile and move from areas / tasks, as directed by on-shift supervision, responding to any changes in the plan during a shift.

 

These roles are shift based roles and will provide 24/7 coverage throughout the airport.

Hourly rate for the role is currently €16.14 (inclusive of shift pay).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a first-class cleaning service by ensuring that all general and deep cleaning and sanitisation duties are carried out to the highest standard and in line with SOPs and the Terminals Cleaning Standard.
  • Ensure comfort and cleanliness of all parts of campus including, but not limited to terminal buildings, landside operation, back of house, offices, car parks together with kerbs and forecourt pedestrian areas through the use of the required kit, equipment, software and vehicles.
  • Collection of campus wide trolleys for replenishment to baggage halls ensuring trolley numbers are kept in line with recognised KPIs.
  • Ensure that all chemicals and products are stored and used according to the manufacturer’s instructions and directions to ensure a safe working environment and minimise risk of accident and injury.
  • Maintain and store all allocated equipment in line with all relevant SOPs and ensure that appropriate, well-maintained and properly serviced equipment is always used. Report defective equipment as required.
  • Play an active role in ensuring that all stock is accounted for and utilised in an efficient manner. Complete all required records to provide purchasing information.
  • Maintain and replenish all storerooms throughout the building.
  • Complete all required records and documentation and ensure there are clear logs of all completed tasks.
  • Strong focus on meeting customer and stakeholder needs with concern beyond own area and for quality end-to-end passenger experience, ensuring safety and comfort is of the highest concern.
  • Provide a visible and proactive presence to enhance passenger experience at Dublin Airport. Utilising Dublin Airport information systems e.g., DublinAirport.com, flight information, airport services information and ground transport information to deliver an excellent and consistent product.
  • Deliver high quality performance to achieve set KPIs and targets and specified quality standards and processes (e.g., SQMs). Achieve this through the use of available and new technology to enhance and track cleaning and airport performance.
  • Actively engage with the Company’s performance management system / feedback discussions regarding individual performance.
  • Identify and deliver improvement initiatives and other potential process improvements.
  • Ensure emergency response procedures are implemented in the event of an airport emergency or unplanned event (e.g. mass cancellation plan; adverse weather events; security alerts, fire safety marshalling etc).
  • Ensure business continuity plans are implemented as directed by Service Delivery Team Lead.
  • Ensure compliance with safety systems and methods of work by monitoring general compliance with fire, health and safety requirements, ensuring any issues are immediately reported and addressed.
  • Actively liaise with the Service Delivery Team Lead and APOC to ensure the smooth running of Dublin Airport areas by monitoring general operations and ensuring any operational issues/faults or noteworthy accidents or incidents are immediately reported.
  • Deal effectively with lost property left in the terminal.
  • Maintain all car parks and roadways at Dublin Airport to the highest standard. 

Other Duties:

  • Winter Operations duties as required
  • Supporting the Service Delivery Team Lead on all duties identified by the Service Delivery Team Lead.
  • Work within all zones across the Airport as required on shift.
  • To operate vehicles, ride ons and equipment in a safe manner across campus (training provided)
  • Complete vehicle, equipment and system checks as required.
  • Support Dublin Airport’s goal of being a litter free airport by litter picking your location of work to maintain the highest levels of satisfaction for our passengers and stakeholders.
  • It is important to note that from time to time all daa staff may be asked to carry out duties outside of their normal daily duties. This will be on request basis and only if the staff member is adequately trained to do so.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Previous front-line experience with a strong customer service focus and ability to deal with all parties on a professional basis.
